Facility Information

Visions and Dreams

More than ten years of planning and a year of construction culminated the completion of our Ministry Center in December, 2018. The 9,450-square-foot Ministry Center includes a modern kitchen and large fellowship hall and that can accommodate 180 seated guests. In addition, there are administrative offices and meeting rooms for youth, small groups, counseling and adult seminars as well as a bright, airy space for toddlers and preschoolers. The expansion has enabled the church to carry out some long-range plans, which include presbytery meetings, civic groups and inter-church events. Many of these spaces can be reserved by community organizations or individuals with some fees waived, depending on purpose of the meeting or event. Individuals, organizations or groups wishing to use our facilities can fill out an application online or download our Facilities Use Application (pdf).

Sharing Time & Talents

A vibrant committee works to support the mission of this ministry by caring for the infrastructure and providing a comfortable and safe physical environment for all church ministries.

Volunteers with varying expertise in construction, plumbing, electrical, grounds, maintenance and contract management & safety contribute their time and talents to help make our vision and dreams realities.

Memorial Garden

Our Memorial Garden provides an appropriate, consecrated, and perpetually maintained place for the interment of ash remains of Southport Presbyterian members and their families. The Memorial Garden is located adjacent to the Narthex of the church.

Paving the Way Beautification Campaign

In conjunction with the building of the new Ministry Center, the Memorial Garden Team launched the Paving the Way campaign for renewing the garden area with paving stones, sitting wall and plantings to create a beautiful sacred space to remember loved ones and reflect on God’s goodness. Members and friends of the congregation who wish to donate engraved pavers can contact the church office.

SPC Labyrinth – A Place of Prayer and Peace

If you would like to spend some quiet time in prayer, a Labyrinth Guide for Walking is available in the Labyrinth prayer box. The guide will help you learn this ancient form of prayer with movement. The garden is always open as a place of prayer and peace. You are welcome to come anytime.
