Looking Ahead Together
Seventy-five Southport Presbyterian Church (SPC) members filled the Fellowship Hall on January 27 for a meaningful Congregational Conversation. Moderated by Interim Bridge Pastor Sid Batts and hosted by the Session, participants gathered in a large circle, passing the microphone and sharing their perspectives on the church’s current life and hopes for the future.
Following the departure of SPC’s pastor last fall, this dialogue served as a foundational step in the church’s transition process, which includes the search for an interim pastor and the election of a Pastor Nominating Committee (PNC) to lead the call of the church’s next permanent pastor.
