December 4 at 6:30 pm – Feeling blue this holiday season? Area churches are joining efforts to offer a worship service that will provide a place of solace regardless of the type of challenge or loss you are facing. The service, to be held in the Southport Presbyterian Church sanctuary, on Thursday, Dec. 4, at 6:30 is co-hosted by the Stephen Ministries and caring ministries of Southport Trinity UMC, St. Peter Lutheran Church, Southport Presbyterian Church and Southport Baptist Church. It will include candle lighting, meditative music featuring a variety of instruments, and scriptures of lament and hope in an effort to create a welcoming worship space. If you know someone who could use extra comfort this season, why not invite them and attend with them? Your compassion might well be the most important gift they receive this year.
