Imagine living in a Homeless encampment. It’s getting to be hot days. How refreshing would it be to have some good water – to drink, to use in cooking, to brush your teeth with. Think of the many ways you go to the faucet in your home and turn it on for some water. But you can’t. Because you don’t have a home. In Matthew 25 Jesus told His followers. “I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink… Whatever you did for the least of these brothers of min, you did for me.”
The Mission Committee will be collecting jugs of water to be distributed to the Homeless Encampments by the Food Pantry throughout June. There is a tub in the Narthex for your contributions. Please consider donating to this worthy cause.
