SPC Welcomes Our New Music Director!

Tricia Rossiter has served as music director for both adult and children’s choirs, and as organist and pianist for numerous Catholic and Protestant churches. In addition, she taught music in private elementary schools in New York. Prior to moving to Southport, she worked at St Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Castle Rock, CO for seven years where she directed and played piano/organ for adult, teen and children’s choirs. She also served as a soloist, cantor, and Spanish choir accompanist.
Her professional music studies include the NY Organist Training Program at the Roman Catholic Diocese of Syracuse, NY, and Voice & Organ studies at Crane School of Music, State University of NY in Potsdam. Her continuing education in performance includes attendance at the Gregorian Institute of America (GIA) for Church Musicians, Chicago IL.
She is also an accomplished soloist and cantor, having sung with numerous ensembles, including St Francis of Assisi Choir in the performance of Vivaldi Gloria in Rome, Italy, and singing the Mass at St. Peter’s Basilica, Vatican City.
In the Preforming Arts her supporting roles included performances in Carousel, My Fair Lady and Fiddler on the Roof and leading roles in Sound of Music – Maria, Cinderella and Godspell.
