Our pastors, Robb Lapp and Joanna Hipp along with Elder Linda Becken represented SPC last weekend at the 129th Stated Presbytery Meeting – East Community Gathering at St. Andrews-Covenant Presbyterian Church in Wilmington, NC. Pastor Joanna served as the Gathering Moderator.
The theme for the Gathering was “Walk the Talk,” with the morning comprised of work groups helping with service projects throughout the Wilmington community. SPC and other congregations in the Presbytery donated supplies used to assemble hygiene kits and breakfast bag projects. Based on teachings from the Book of Mark, the theme took attendees into the community “to walk forward, far, fearlessly, faithfully, freely, full, grow in grace, and share with others.
